If this lockdown has taught me anything, it’s to never take for granted how lucky we are to live on this beautiful, living planet earth 🌏 And how lucky we were to have roamed and explored it freely with those we love most.
Since the world has stayed home we’ve seen wildlife bounce back, filthy rivers clear up, and air pollution levels plummet 🌿 Heck, even the pandas are so excited that they’re shagging again 🐼 Nature is taking a breath while the rest of us are holding ours.
This has got to be our wakeup call. We need to change our relationships with the environment, to encourage individuals, businesses, and governments to act in ways that protect, preserve, and respect our planet and her precious resources that we all ultimately depend on.
If anything, this pandemic has shown that people are willing to change their behaviour if it’s for the health of their families. We can come out of this stronger, together through our collective actions and support as citizens on this planet. After all, #EarthDay is everyday and everywhere you are 🌻
